This Is Me

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m Kirsten, an interior designer, wife, and mama, learning how to balance business and homestead life here in Humboldt County. After leaving a very fast paced work environment, I wanted to slow down, to enjoy my kids while they are still little, to grow Thrap & Company for their future, and to create space for myself to be creative.

In this new rhythm I started taking pictures, capturing the little moments, and writing about how they made me feel. When I shared these stories with my husband, I realized I was writing a blog one experience at a time. This space has become my creative outlet, a way to quiet my racing mind, slow down, and share the beauty woven into everyday life.

Here you’ll find recipes passed down through family, the messy joy of tending a home, construction projects that shape our days, and the hidden gems of our Humboldt community. My dream is that something here might spark you to embrace your own seasons, to slow down, and to find calm in the small things. My hope is that these stories inspire you to create a home and life filled with meaning, memory, and community.
