Part Time Market Associate
We are looking for a reliable, warm, and detail-oriented part time Market Associate to join our team in Old Town Eureka.
This role is ideal for someone who loves beautiful spaces, meaningful work, and connecting with people. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for customers while also supporting behind the scenes operations across our small businesses.
Hours
Part time
Approximately 15 to 20 hours per week
Weekday shifts are primarily from 3 PM to 6 PM
Weekend availability is required
Schedule may vary slightly based on events and seasonal workshops
Responsibilities
Welcoming customers and providing thoughtful, friendly service
Running the register and handling sales through our POS system
Restocking and merchandising products with care and intention
Keeping the shop clean, organized, and inviting.
Assisting with workshops, events, and in store gatherings.
Packaging gifts and preparing special orders.
Supporting day to day shop operations and seasonal transitions
Updating and maintaining website content during slower periods including product listings, descriptions, photos, and basic organization.
Providing occasional administrative support related to construction projects such as organizing documents, tracking basic information, or assisting with scheduling as needed.
Remaining present and engaged with customers and tasks throughout shifts.
Workplace Expectations
Reliability and punctuality are essential. Team members are expected to arrive on time and be prepared for each shift.
Confidentiality is required, particularly when assisting with construction administration, client information, pricing, or internal documents.
Personal cell phone use is not permitted during work hours. Phones should be stored away during shifts except during scheduled breaks or in case of emergency.
Slow does not mean idle. During slower periods, team members are expected to stay productive by cleaning, organizing, restocking, updating the website, or completing assigned tasks.
Care and respect for the shop space, inventory, and customer experience are expected at all times.
